A serious hunter. Of almost all game. Have been since I was 10 years old. Back then I would go duck and goose hunting with my father. I served mainly as the retriever...running out of the pit blind and retrieving big honkers--in between pouring cups of coffee for my dad and uncles. Then I graduated to the ranks of shooters and received my first firearm. A Westernfield 20 GA pump given to me by my grandfather. Soon ducks, geese, pheasants and grouse learned to fear me. I prowled the woods, ponds and grasslands of western MN following my dog and filling my game bag. Eventually, when I was 30 years old, whitetails joined the passion (Yeah, it took me that long; but then again, I was having way too much fun chasing birds). And the whitetail learned to fear me. Soon mule deer, antelope, turkey, hogs and coyotes joined the ranks of my pursuit and they too found the fear and found their way to my table. Now I pass this passion along to my (3) children and they happily follow the same trail.
That's my story. Plain and simple. That's my passion. No apologies. No excuses. No explainations. I am a hunter.
