My life changed forever on Thanksgiving Day, 1993, when at age 12 I killed a black duck from the bank of the Susquehanna River. Since then I've become an avid upland bird and waterfowl hunter; a field trialer of English springer spaniels with the credit rating to prove it; a shotgun aficionado; and the senior associate editor of the NRA's American Hunter magazine. I also cover all-things wingshooting at my blog, Dogs, Shotguns and Other Vices.
